A yellow shirt or blouse, a scarf or tie, and grey trousers or a grey skirt: this was the uniform worn by Post Office branch staff for over 20 years. In 2025, the uniform was given a fresh new look. As a tribute to the corporate clothing worn up to that point and in recognition of the employees who helped shape the company’s image, the discarded textiles are being given a second life: in the form of this stamp made from leftover material of the original fabric. The anthracite-coloured elements are inspired by the blazer worn with the shirts and blouses. The jagged edge refers to the classic zigzag scissors used for cutting the fabric.

Following the partner countries Netherlands, Luxemburg and Belgium, the Portuguese postal company, CTT, is now also part of the international collaboration. Together, we are launching a series that was introduced back in 2024 with the legendary Dragon as the first creature of the myths: Heroes of Mythology, starting with the ancient world of the Gods. None other than Athena adorns the Luxembourg Crypto stamps. With Hera, Zeus, Hermes, Artemis and Poseidon, the partner countries are bringing additional Gods of Olympus to the blockchain.
