Michael has been in the printing industry for over 25 years. His master in polymer & plastics engineering and master in economics didn’t stop him from doing something completely different: printing. His core business is in ID/Chipcard printing and got an interesting twist in 2020 when the Austrian post office for the first time ever inquired for a special stamp in the shape of a credit card. This caught Michaels attention and the first ever Cryptostamp was born. Ever after he is not only creating cryptostamps but more an dmore wildly amazing boutique stamps for postal organisations around the world. It was only logical that after a while, he founded stampfinity as division of the family business Varius Group. (www.varius.group)

Project Manager
My Bachelor’s degree in Economics and my Master’s degree in Project and Program Management provide me with a strong academic foundation in economic analysis, strategic planning, and structured project leadership. In my professional role, I lead and coordinate international philatelic projects, working closely with governmental partners and stakeholders worldwide. My responsibilities include managing cross-border collaborations, ensuring a secure production environment, and delivering philatelic innovations. Through our long-standing work and developments in blockchain technologies within the philatelic sector, I have also developed strong expertise in this field and regularly deliver trainings and presentations at global conferences and industry forums. This work has led to close collaboration with the Universal Postal Union, particularly in contributing to the definition and development of emerging digital product categories in philately. In parallel, I serve as a Board Member of the WADP Academy, where we focus on promoting innovation within the postal sector and establishing a shared global knowledge base that supports the continued evolution of the industry.

I serve as Managing Director for Operations & Client Solutions, where I oversee organizational processes and ensure the efficient implementation of production and client projects. With an engineering background in printing media, I bring both technical expertise and operational leadership to the company’s production and service environment. Since joining Varius Group in 2014, I have gained extensive experience in print production, personalization, mailing solutions, and operational management. My role focuses on developing and implementing production solutions while ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and client requirements. In my day-to-day work, I supervise organizational and administrative processes and support clients through comprehensive consultation and project coordination. I am also actively involved in creative and strategic decision-making, contributing to the development of innovative print and production solutions. My focus is on combining technical know-how, efficient operational processes, and strong client collaboration to deliver reliable and high-quality production outcomes.
